Production quotes

Quote the production you intend to run.

Speeding Studio builds production quotes from days and line items in your project. Give the client a clear scope to approve while your team keeps the rates, costs, and revisions organized.

The client view shows quoted days and their acceptance status. Example quote and client shown.

Build the price around the job.

Start with days and line items.

Organize the quote into production days and sections for labour, equipment, deliverables, travel, and other items. Use your library of standard rates so the same starting prices are available on the next job.

Choose one client-facing currency.

Each quote is presented in one currency. If it differs from your team’s base currency, the exchange rate is captured when the quote is sent.

Apply the taxes you configure.

Taxes are configured by your team and applied per line. Labour, equipment, and deliverable lines can use automatic tax rules; travel, adjustment, and freeform lines are handled manually.

Give the client a clear decision.

Show the proposal, keep internal pricing private.

The client view carries the quote and its acceptance controls. Internal margins, reference rates, and notes are excluded from that view.

See which days were approved.

Clients can accept quoted days. The production keeps the acceptance with the version they reviewed, so an optional day is distinguishable from an approved day.

Connect quoting to the production.

The quote stays with the project as the days are scheduled. Quote-versus-actual advisories help the producer spot a plan that is drifting from the original price.

Revise without losing the agreement.

Sent means recorded.

Sending locks that quote version, including the applied tax details and any captured exchange rate. You can return to the record of what the client saw.

A change starts a new version.

Use Revise to create an editable copy of the quote. Previous acceptance is not copied to the new version: approval belongs to the terms the client actually accepted.

Before your next production.

Can I quote a multi-day production?

Yes. A quote can contain multiple production days, with line items and acceptance recorded by day.

Can the client see my internal rates or margin?

The client-facing view excludes internal margins, reference rates, and notes. The client sees the prices and scope you present in the quote.

Can I edit a quote after sending it?

A sent version is locked. Revise it to create a new draft while preserving the original.

Is this also an invoicing workflow?

Speeding Studio includes invoicing in the same project and uses the same tax engine for quotes and invoices. Feature access depends on your plan.
